Touch the Sky
I’d love to touch the sky tonight,
To bathe in full moon’s amber light,
To bask in North Star’s radiant beams,
Crossing oceans and crossing dreams.
I’d love to swim amongst the whales,
To hear the sailor’s mystic tales,
To float free within silver streams,
Crossing oceans and crossing dreams.
I’d love to dance on clouds of white,
To surf the indigo twilight,
To discover what true love means,
Crossing oceans and crossing dreams.
I’d love to touch the sky tonight,
Crossing oceans and crossing dreams.

Happy Friday! I wrote poem this on the final leg of our trip, riding in the car to Panama City. It’s just a whimsical musing about imagination and the joys of nature and life.
This is our last full day of the Florida vacation, and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it — from celebrating Anthony’s 1st birthday and Vince’s birthday, an overnight stay and dinner with my BFF Marianne, to chilling on the beach with Posie and Hatcher! The grandkids are growing up so fast. Anthony has started walking, Posie is getting ready to start kindergarten and Hatcher has become quite the swimmer! We plan to soak up the day playing in the pool with the kids and then a nice dinner this evening. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Xoxo,
Colleen
Inspiration: “One More Time” by The Cure
Ecrits Blogophilia Week 6.17 – Crossing Oceans and Dreams
Hard Bonus: Incorporate a lyric by The Cure (“I’d love to touch the sky tonight”)
Easy Bonus: Mention a real or imaginary sea creature (whale)

Such a beautiful Kyrielle sonnet, loving the repetition and sentiments you have painted in your words! Glad to hear you had a nice trip – KUDOS Dear Earthling! ❤
