The Stardust Café
Meet me at the Stardust Café
Where we can dance the night away.
We’ll listen to some old jazz tunes
And kiss beneath the amber moon.
Whenever trouble comes your way,
Meet me at the Stardust Café.
We can drown our sorrows in wine
And commiserate, rain or shine.
If you’re on the verge of despair,
Don’t worry, I will meet you there.
Meet me at the Stardust Café
When the sky fills with clouds of gray.
Let’s mingle, set our spirits free –
You know that you can count on me.
It’s time to dance troubles away,
Meet me at the Stardust Café.

Happy Saturday Night – it is VERY late and I realized that I had not yet written my Blogo write for the week. I’ve been in Florida visiting the grandkids since Wednesday morning – and it’s been a very busy trip!
I ended up quickly penning a Quatern poem, which has a recurring line that changes position in the 4 stanzas. I made up the name “Stardust Café.” However, there is Starlight Café diner in a small town outside my hometown. I’ve never been there, but pass by it every time I drive up to see my Mom. It supposedly serves the best fried chicken in the area!
That’s all folks. My apologies that I haven’t been online much. Between snuggling with the grandkids and trying to keep up with their busy schedules – today we were on the soccer fields for over 4 hours, so I haven’t had a lot of spare time for social media. Take care and have a great weekend!
Xoxo,
Colleen
