White as far as the eye can see,

Hear the patter of freezing rain,
A rhythm on my windowpane.
The North winds sing in harmony

The reverie of love begins,
Your warm hands melt my icy skin.
Among the snowdrifts, dance with me

Time is ticking and I’m late in posting this week! Right before the midnight hour….as we settle in for an overnight stay in Atlanta. I wrote this on the road today, on Interstate 81 South as we travel to spend the holidays in Florida with our children and grandchildren. Our SUV is packed to the gills, every square inch is filled with gifts, goodies, and all the necessities for the next 10-11 days!

We lost power for 5 hours yesterday in a windstorm, which set me back significantly with getting my client work wrapped and in preparing for the trip. Fortunately, I had packed most of my clothes. The rest of my things like toiletries, makeup, and all sorts of other necessities I had to do by flashlight! It was starting to get cold in the house too, by the time the power went back on at 9:30 it was down to 60 degrees in the house. Good thing I had layers on and don’t mind the cold!

I won’t be online much in the next week or so. I’ll be cuddling in Florida with our new grandson Holland James and playing with Posie, Hatcher and Anthony! They are all growing and so beautiful. It won’t be a White Christmas, but we are bringing all the Christmas spirit with us. Our hearts are full, and we are looking forward to making some wonderful Christmas memories with all of them.
