Turquoise Days
The April sun shines warm and bright,
Infusing effervescent light.
The wispy clouds dissolve away
On clear and breezy turquoise days.
Green grass sparkles, laced with dew.
Spring rains refresh and life renews.
The daffodils and tulips sway
On clear and breezy turquoise days.
Nature paints symbols in the sky,
A cross revealed as clouds drift by.
Like a robin’s egg tucked away
On clear and breezy turquoise days.
The April sun shines warm and bright
On clear and breezy turquoise days.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter! This is a real quick Kyrielle sonnet I threw together, not very inspired – but it does have me dreaming of going somewhere why the skies and the water is warm and turquoise colored lol!!
We hosted Easter dinner last Sunday, and it was so nice to be with family. I cooked TWO hams, baked beans, au gratin potatoes and Oreo Key Lime pie. We had some appetizers, mimosas and I sent everyone home with lots of leftovers! The best part was getting to FaceTime with all of the grandchildren, watching them open up their Easter baskets. My Mom and sister Sarah also got to see the nuggets, and it was just so heart warming.
Only a few more days until the April 15 tax rush is over…. I can’t wait. We are all so fatigued and tired from working nonstop since January. I need a break, so Dan and I are taking next Friday off together. Yay! Hopefully it will be a nice day, and we will have a chance to do something fun or go somewhere relaxing. Until then, it’s back to the grindstone filing extensions and payroll tax returns. Yeehaw! Have a great weekend, all! Xoxo
Love, Colleen
