I Am the Lotus

take me to a place
where time is an illusion
and love is in bloom

birdsong in oak tree
scent of lilac fills my head
cold dew upon grass

soft lips of velvet
I will always remember
scent of rose petals

I am the lotus
opening up for the sun
craving your warm kiss

let your light shine down
wash me with serenity
endless summer bliss
