Life doesn’t always go as planned.
The bridges burn, the new dawn breaks…

It’s a rainy, stormy Saturday night and I’m listening to the thunder crashing outside while a somber Moby song is playing. It kind of sets the mood for writing. This week our topic is “Stuff Happens” (aka “Shit Happens” around our house). We have all had times in our life when it just feels like everything is raining down on you. Things aren’t going right, you’re making mistakes and feeling like crap. Funny thing is, I don’t feel sad or angry or disappointed at all. I’m just writing it out to my mood music, because like all of you, I’ve been through some stuff/shit in my life. And guess what, you eventually get through it. You pull up your bootstraps, weather on through the storms of life. And you grow stronger through it all, despite the fact that you have felt your lowest and your weakest! Life is like that.
Matter of fact, life is actually pretty sweet right now! Yes, I’ve been working very hard from January 2 through this week, and I have not had a lot of free time. But there are some wonderful things happening we’re looking forward to. We just learned last week that Grandbaby #4 is coming in November! Katie and Brenton will be adding their 3rd child to their growing family. The gender will be revealed soon – and of course, we will be absolutely thrilled with either a girl or boy! We are just praying for a healthy little baby to love and snuggle with!
