life
can be
so crazy
with pain and strife
a wild jungle burn
danger at every turn
children are bad, spouse is mad
mountains of bills, credit card debt
the house is a mess, job full of stress
not enough bananas to last the day
and IRS agents hunt you like prey
but despite how bad your life may seem
someday you’ll walk the street of dreams
don’t cry, let your heart take flight
your spirit filled with light
soar ever higher
towards the sun
past the blue
you’ll pull
through

Happy Saturday! It has been a fun weekend so far. I wrote this on the fly, guess the Guns n Roses titles led me in this direction. I thought it would be fun to do a double etheree format.
Well, I hit a big milestone birthday yesterday, and now it’s time to sign up for Medicare! (Even though I will continue working for a while longer, I have to register….) YIKES, where the hell did the time go? I guess it’s true, time flies when you’re having fun. 😉
I took the day off work, and we finally got a chance to spend the day at a pool, relaxing and soaking up a little Vitamin D. Then today we had the Keller Family reunion, which was just wonderful! It’s getting smaller every year, as 11 of the 14 “Original Keller Kids” have passed over the years (my Dad and his 13 brothers & sisters). It was nice to catch up with everyone, and my Mom had a great time chatting with the family members. Dan even bought a cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. 😀 What a great day! My heart is filled with so much love and gratitude! ❤
That’s all I got for tonight. We just got back a while ago, put all the picnic stuff away, cleaned up and it’s time for my nightly workout. After all, I’ve moved into that final age category – you know, 65 & up…. I’m officially OLD haha! However, I remain determined to keep on exercising every day to keep my body strong and joints stable. What else can you do? My goal is to keep knee replacements and other old people things at bay for a lot longer, hehe. Until next week…. HAPPY SUMMER, it’s finally here!
