Dark Sonnet #1
The angry midnight sun blazes
Luna cycles through her phases
The black skies whisper subtle clues….
I’m dark as the holiday blues.
A world around us filled with strife,
Nobody wins this game of life.
Let all my truths be misconstrued…
I’m dark as the holiday blues.
When the sky was opened, I fell
Taking the last flight bound for hell.
It’s judgment night, so say adieu…
I’m dark as the holiday blues.
The angry midnight sun blazes…
I’m dark as the holiday blues.

Dark indeed, dark as moonless a winter night. 8 points Earthling
Love the darkness. I usually love the holidays, at least until I get on the scale the next week.
Very, very emotional and powerful.
Dark yet comforting that the universe is connected.
Oh great, now I have that song stuck in my head. 😀
This was quite a powerful write Colleen. I love the phrase “The Angry Midnight Sun blazes”
