Ghosts and Goblins of Halloween
Who’s knocking on my door tonight?
Out on my porch, a scary sight!
Frankensteins and witches in green…
Ghosts and goblins of Halloween!
Then comes parade of tiny tots,
Pink princess and silver robot,
The cutest things you’ve ever seen…
Ghosts and goblins of Halloween!
Next come the teens in Ninja gear,
Mummies, fairies with pixie ears.
Grabbing candy, typical teens…
Ghosts and goblins of Halloween!
Who’s knocking on my door tonight?
Ghosts and goblins of Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We had a pretty low-key Halloween this year. We hardly have any trick or treaters, like maybe 10 or 15 kids total. I don’t know if some of the neighbor kids went to parties, or maybe it’s just that the neighborhood has changed significantly. A lot of houses have sold in the past two years, and kids have grown up and moved on to college and work life. I still always make sure I have plenty of candy – nothing worse than running out during Halloween.
Now… it looks like I’ll have a ton of treats left over. So I plan to make up treat bags and take them into the office next week. I didn’t get to attend the office Halloween party this year as I wasn’t feeling well that day. My work friend went “trick or treating” for me around the office, so I will just take a treat bag to everyone and share the candy/love lolol.
The first set of trick or treaters were so cute, it was a little neighbor boy dressed as an army guy and a girl in a shredded blue wedding dress. I said to the little girl, “Oh you look like a bride” The boy said, “Yeah, she’s a dead bride.” Haha, indeed – her face was painted a ghastly shade of blue and she had a blue tulip wreath in her hair with a veil. Very creative, and that boy was so witty! That was the highlight of the evening, haha!! So I was just sitting at the computer writing the rest of the evening. I kept listening for the doorbell that never came and messing around with Snapchat a little – it was probably the most boring Halloween ever, lol.
On a sad note, we’re about to lose an hour of sleep tonight – and as of tomorrow, it will get dark earlier. Like 5:00 PM! WAAAH! That is the one thing I dislike about this time of year. Why, oh why can’t they do away with this nonsense twice a year? They can’t even get together in Congress to pass a law to end Daylight Savings time, it will take an act of God before they ever get rid of that stupidity. Oh well – onward to November!!! The holiday season has begun (and yes, I officially started Christmas shopping TODAY!) Xoxo
Love,
Colleen
