Gypsy

Gypsy

In the dark and whispering room,
there lies a sense of dread and doom.
Your crystal ball glows eerily…
Tell me gypsy can you see me?

High upon the rock of ages,
I’m writing on empty pages,
Tracing my roots from memory…
Tell me gypsy can you see me?

I hear the black crow’s haunting calls
chasing shadows, over my walls.
Like a warrior, breaking free…
Tell me gypsy can you see me?

In the dark and whispering room…
Tell me gypsy can you see me?

Hello and Happy Saturday friends. Today the Deep Purple lyrics swirled in my head and this came out. I remember that “Machine Head” was one of my first albums that I bought with babysitting money at Two Guys Department store.

I think also looking at old family pictures from my relatives and seeing so many unfamiliar faces, it had me wondering what my roots really are. Some of it I know – but I feel like I don’t actually know the whole truth and never will…. Parts of it seem a little mysterious to me, perhaps purposely hidden. It just feels like there are some untold stories which I will never know. And yet, part of me realizes that I must make peace with the fact that I may NEVER know the whole truth. So I tried researching and looking up some things online, but it’s like a dead end…nothing is there. It’s frustrating.

I don’t really believe in mediums and all that crystal ball stuff, but part of me feels like a gypsy… and I want to know more. Anyway, that is where I am at tonight. Just thinking out loud. Love you all!

Xoxo,
Colleen
